Our destination town of Altoona for our Ragbrai Bike ride

Boy were we glad to see this after 5 hrs in 100 degree heat!

The riders covered both lanes of those back country Iowa roads. We couldn't figure out what the slow down was here...an Iowa farm family brought out there barn animals to pet....the new yorkers thought that was just awesome. Not so exciting for us Midwesterners...

Cute shops & restaurants in Vail, CO

On our last night in Colorado we decided to drive to Vail for dinner and people watching. Matt is sold on a new place for his winter ski trips!

Can he eat it all? He got 2 HUGE pancakes...if they would have made them into regular size my guess is it would have been 12. Good thing he only ate 1/2 otherwise I'd be hearing how full he was for hours!

They had a local band with happy hour at the top. There also was a downhill mountain bike race going on.

Keystone CO

I got to hang out with my soul sister Katie. Her birthday is one day away from mine and we often celebrated together when she was a resident at UW Madison. She will be starting her own practice in Miami doing foot and ankle orthopedic surgery in August.
