For my last night in New Orleans we went to the ACME oyster bar for dinner followed by live music at the Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse on Bourbon Street. Unfortunately it was too dark for any pictures. Great music & relaxation!

The beignet is a square piece of dough fried and covered in powdered sugar. They were first brought to Louisiana by the Acadians.

The cafe was packed this morning....lots of people needing their early morning beignets & coffee!

These are my orthopedic PA friends. We found a cute alfresco restaurant with outdoor seating called Green Goddess in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Awesome food!

Bourbon Street

I went to a medical conference in New Orleans. We stayed at the Marriott on Canal Street in the French quarter. We figured it be safest to tour Bourbon Street in daylight. We bought our purple, green, and gold beads and got our people watching in.

Janine, my college roommate, is finally tying the knot! Jeff is a great guy. He a commercial airline pilot. They are going to Australia for 2 weeks for the honeymoon.

My dress alterations worked out pretty good. My initial measurements were given before knowing I was pregnant. Surprisingly I was the only pregnant one in the wedding party!
