My St. Louis Vacation by Greta Mae...

My St. Louis Vacation by Greta Mae...

Since Mary Jo was closed mom took a week off work to hang with me. Dad had to go on business to St. Louis so we got to go along. James and Noelle stayed home to hang out with Kelly. The drive there was interesting. We went through a hailstorm. I had never seen a hailstorm before. I also saw really big windmills. Once we got to St. Louis I don't know what all the hype was about this big arch. Once I saw it all I wanted to know was if I could slide down it. We drove through a "not so good area" of St. Louis. Dad kept telling mom not to go there, what I noticed were a bunch of trains that weren't moving...they must of had dead batteries. Once we got to our hotel it was pretty cool...it look like a castle. A man wanted to pull my suitcase but I didn't want him to....I love my doc McStuffins suitcase. I got to push the buttons in the elevator. I was pretty excited about that I found our room it was number 6030. I love staying in "show and tells." (Hotels) I got a big bed, dad slept with me, and I was excited.

Monday:
Mom woke me up at 7 o'clock to go to breakfast with dad and her. I got to wear my Lia Sophia pajamas. Once dad left for work mom and I started our adventure. Mom pushed me in the stroller while I got to read my favorite book "Fancy Nancy." We went to a really cool museum called "The City Museum." It was filled with metal cages to climb, caves to crawl in and slides to go down. I really wanted to go down the 10 story slide but mom wouldn't let me. I think she was too scared. We had our lunch on the rooftop while I played in the fountain. I got really wet. Next we walked to that big slide in the sky which mom and dad call "the arch." Mom made me do silly poses in front of it while she took my picture. I was tired and hot. We walked back to our "show and tell" and put on our swimsuits. I'm so glad mom brought my goggles and Koala floaty. The water was so warm. Mom stayed in the water with me the whole time!!! I think we're in the water for two hours. We went back to the room to shower up and head out for our last stroll of the evening to find dinner. I fell asleep in the stroller so mom got to choose the restaurant. Jimmy John's! Once we got back to The hotel we watch the light show in the lobby. Then it was chill time in our room---can't beat the Disney channel!!

Tuesday:
This morning mommy woke me up again so we could have breakfast with daddy before he left for work. Today we drove him to his office and went straight to the St. Louis zoo. My highlights were train ride around the park, the carousel ride, the 3-D movie, the polar bears, the gorillas, the cheetahs, and the elephants. Mom even bought me a pink giraffe as a souvenir. For lunch we had mac & cheese and for snack I got dip and dots cookie dough ice cream! We spent a total of 6 1/2 hours at the zoo. I fell asleep in the car on the way home. Mom sat in the courtyard of our hotel people watching while I snoozed. This evening I surprised my daddy when he was in a meeting with his coworkers in the lobby. I ran to to the bar I pulled on his pant leg. All the women with him were excited to meet me. Next we walked to an Mexican restaurant. Dad was super excited to be able to watch the World Cup Soccor game while we ate. After dinner mommy and daddy swam with me. That was super fun! I even took my floaty off for part of the time. Dad read books to me tonight and fell asleep in my bed. Thanks daddy for a fun trip to St. Louis!! Where can we go next???
