I thought I might comment on a few highlights from our New York Trip. It was a quick 4 day trip, however long enough to log in 30 miles of running, walking, and hiking. The first two days were spent in East Windsor, NJ (near Princeton). Matt worked during the day while Jill ventured out. I walked along the beach in Long Branch, hiked on some awesome wooded trails, saw the Princeton campus. I attempted to join the women's collegiate cross-country team for a run but there were rules against it. Leave it to Jill to come up with a crazy idea like that. I also attempted meeting a local nutritionist at the Univ. Hospital to get ideas for my new nutrition clinic. Too short of notice to meet with her in person. Enough of Jill's solo adventures...the excitement spiked once Matt was able to escape work for a day and we headed to Manhattan. We stayed at a Hilton only a few blocks from times square. The minute we got off our subway and saw the massive amounts of people I knew this was going to be an awesome place for people watching...one of Jill's favorite things to do. We were in the city less than 36 hours but still managed to pack in a ton! We just missed an interview with Kathy Lee on the today show, browsed Grand Central Station (the markets there are to die for!), saw the Broadway musical Billy Elliot (Jill has decided to take up dancing). Not to mention we did see a few famous people. Matt caught Hugh Buckman on video while getting into his limo. We also ran by the worlds fastest ironman triathlete (Chrissie Wellington) while on our 9 mile run through central park in the rain. Matt was glad I pulled him out of bed for that run...he almost bailed on me. All and all it was an awesome trip! I've already asked Matt "when can book our next trip to New York?"
When Jill returned from New York Noelle asked "Where is dad?" I told her he had to stay in New York to do some more work. She then asks "Why did you come back? I know why...you have to make dinner."
